i’m from austria and i just love watching your videos, its fascinating how different houses can be. here 150sqm (1688sqft) would be considered a big home. and the prices are just not comparable, building/buying houses and purchasing lots are extremely expensive here. (also i am aware that within the usa prices vary vastly i’m just talking about this direct comparison). granted we build very diffrently in austria regarding material, safety, longevity, energy sufficiency etc but what does it all matter when hardly anyone can afford to build or purchase anymore. even apartments with around 90sqm (roughly 970sqft) can cost upwards to 700.000€ (about the same in usd) in my area and the average income of a person in a year is 50k (before taxes). just breaks my heart that my childhood dream of building my own house and having a bunch of kids and pets will not be attainable for me.
Hey for the house that’s 245k , will the monthly after everything be around 2k ? With 5% down ? If not is getting something that’s 2k a month even possible ? I’m 1 single person . Thanks in advance

Come to Texas: the state that ranked number 2 on the list of most financially strapped states. Texas is unaffordable plain and simple. The stats are starting to reflect that. Most people will not thrive in this state.
That explains why people move from other states that aren't as affordable this house would cost at least 2 million in California and a 2 bed 2 bath 840 sqft apt in New York would cost a good 400k and that is just from looking to move there
@@immonienarcisse3558 you are discounting the fact that you will likely make double the income on these other places. Texas still tried to pay people dam near federal minimum wage for jobs that should be no where near minimum wage. The so called good paying jobs would pay significantly more in Cali and ny and you would likely have better job security and working protections.
@andrewsnyder9262 My friend lived In California and was getting paid $16 an hour and her rent was 2800 for a 1/1 she moved to Virginia got her a 1/1 for 2200 still making $16 an hour now she's moving back to Texas getting a 1/1 for 2000 and she's making 24 an hour doing the same job she was doing in VA and California ....... and double the income would make sense being the cost of living is way higher than here in Texas
